Question:        What are the differences between wash packages?

Answer:          A lot!  The basic wash primarily cleans the car but usually has no protective waxes.  With darker cars you will notice flatness and or haze to the finish over time. The more protective layers of waxes and or polymers applied at each wash the longer you will enjoy the finishes original color depth and shine. Also the more layers of protection applied the more layers that a scratch has to penetrate before damaging the clear coat or paint.  The upper packages not only have protective waxes, but the best wash usually has a new technology called: polymer seal coat.  The polymer seal coat acts like a thin protective egg shell type layer that will protect your finish, bead water and shine for an extended period of time.

At Millennium Auto Wash & Detail Center we have the following washes:

Express Wash - Basic wash, no rim cleaning and only a minimal amount of protection through the drying agent that is similar to a sealer wax.

Super Wash - The above wash with under-carriage flush and a protective sealer wax applied.

Ultimate Wash - Has not only a seal wax applied, but also triple foam conditioning wax, for a double layer of protectant and shine. This was also includes Rim Cleaning and the under-carriage flush.

Millennium Wash - This wash has it all. The polymer seal coat that protects and beads water for up to 30 days. This is the same product that is found in the paint protection programs. This is in addition to the triple foam condition wax, the rim cleaning and the under-carriage flush.

Question:        How often should I wax my vehicle?

Answer:          About every 6 months. The goal is to maintain your vehicles appearance, value and driving enjoyment on an as needed basis.  At Millennium Auto Wash and Detail Center, we recommend a program based on:

Driving Conditions - High mileage driving or frequenting gravel roads may warrant exterior re-applications more frequently.

Parking & Storage Conditions - Parking frequently outside exposes the painted surfaces to UV light, acid rain, tree sap, industrial fallout. If you feel the grit on your cars finish or see small orange specials, we recommend a clay then re-application.

Wash Quality & Frequency - The clear coat on your vehicle is thin (1.5 to 3 mils thick). It is important to wash your vehicle to remove harmful contaminants (bugs, sap, industrial fallout, acid rain, salt etc...). It is just as important to visit a good wash facility and purchase a wash that applies waxes or polymers to keep an added layer of protection. At Millennium Auto Wash and Detail Center, we have waxes in our Super, Ultimate & Millennium Washes. Our Millennium Wash contains a polymer seal coat similar to the Amour-Shield paint protection.

Question:        I have orange spots all over my vehicle, especially along the bottom and rear of the vehicle.

Answer:          Take the cellophane challenge.  Take a piece of cellophane (cigarette of CD/DVD packaging) and place it between your fingers and your cars finish. Slide it along the surface of the rear hatch. hood, side panels.  Do you feel the grit and rough spots?  These are contaminants attached to your cars finish.  We can exfoliate these harmful contaminants with a clay bar.  It will drastically enhance the finish of your vehicle.  Ask for a Free demonstration after your next wash.
